About Our Client

Our client is a Chinese law firm specialising in corporate and commercial solutions globally. The teams of lawyers work closely with clients to deliver the legal know-how and strategic alignment. Currently, they are seeking for an Accountant to cope with their future business development plan.

Job Description

  • Manage and oversee all client billing, account receivables, and credit control matters.
  • Prepare, draft and edit bills in accordance to Partner and Fee earner's requests.
  • Follow up with fee earners on outstanding Work in Process, to ensure the timely preparation and finalisation of bills to meet deadlines.
  • Liaise with legal secretaries and fee earners on special billing arrangements to ensure accuracy of billing amounts.
  • Cross check and verify accuracy of billing calculation before sending to clients.
  • Work with regional finance team on financial matters
  • Generate and analyse monthly aging reports to identify delinquent accounts.

The Successful Applicant

  • At least 3 years of Billing & Credit Control experience, preferably in legal or professional services industries.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English. Fluent in spoken Chinese is preferred.
  • Strong effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with internal stakeholders and clients professionally.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve billing discrepancies and credit issues.
  • Willingness to learn and stay updated with industry trends and best practices in billing and credit control.
