About Our Client

Our client is a Leading Container Trading company with great presence in the global market. As the Interchange Specialist, you will play a vital role in optimising the efficiency and cost- effectiveness of the container interchange operations.

Job Description

  • Oversee the end-to-end container interchange process, ensuring smooth and timely transfers of containers
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximise container utilisation and minimise empty container movements
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations, logistics, and sales teams, to determine interchange requirements and streamline processes
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with external partners include both suppliers and oneway users to facilitate seamless interchange operations
  • Analyse data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor industry trends and technological advancements related to container interchange, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with international regulations, industry standards, and company policies throughout the interchange process

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor degree in Logistics, Supply Chain management or related field
  • At least 5 years in Container Interchange management within the shipping and logistics industry
  • Extensive knowledge of container interchange operations, including equipment control, fleet management and transportation coordination
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and eternal stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with international shipping regulations and industry best practices
  • Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
