Our client, a major financial regulator in Hong Kong is looking for an experienced Associate with at least 8 years of experience to join their data products team. The team is responsible for developing and delivering data products for internal and external data regarding analytics, indices, and market data. The successful candidate must have experience in working directly with Product Owners and identifying data product opportunities across the business.

About Our Client

Our client, a major financial regulator in Hong Kong is looking for an experienced Associate with at least 8 years of experience to join their data products team. The team is responsible for developing and delivering data products for internal and external data regarding analytics, indices, and market data. The successful candidate must have experience in working directly with Product Owners and identifying data product opportunities across the business.

The ideal candidate should have hybrid experience in business/project management (Agile) in addition to technical knowledge in Tableau/data marts.

Stron communication skills in both English and Cantonese is mandatory.

Job Description

  • Identify new business opportunities and drive the data strategy planning
  • Support product managers on the implementation of the data strategy and new data products/platforms
  • Vendor management and procurement
  • Deliver data products within timeline, budget and scope
  • Prepare project proposals (justifications, plans, financial projections, risk, etc.) for board approval
  • Identify and mitigate project risks
  • Maintain all project documentations
  • Stakeholder management
  • Any ad-hoc duties and projects as required

The Successful Applicant

  • 8+ years of relevant experience; ideally from a financial institution handling financial/market data
  • Degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Statistics, or any relevant discipline
  • Proven experience in working directly with Product Owners to deliver data products/platforms
  • Proven experience in end to end project management, stakeholder management and vendor management
  • Solid understanding or experience in Tableau or data mart is required
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in English and Cantonese are mandatory
  • Project experience in Agile (Jira) is mandatory
  • Strong analytical, organizational and agility skills are required
