Job Description

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for electronics components, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Source and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing to achieve optimal cost savings without compromising quality.
  • Manage relationships with EMS vendors, fostering collaboration and ensuring timely delivery of components and services.
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance, conducting regular assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to understand requirements and ensure alignment throughout the procurement process.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, supplier agreements, and cost analyses.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in procurement, specifically in electronics sourcing and EMS vendor management.
  • Proven track record of successful cost negotiations and supplier management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Proficient in procurement software and ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices related to electronics procurement.
