This exciting role is going to join the compliance team to acquire banking licensing, handle HKMA/ SFC licensing advisory/ applications and other compliance matters. The candidate should have 10+ years of working experience in HKMA/ SFC licensing, regulatory compliance, general compliance with strong knowledge in HKMA/ 72B within FI/ banking industry.

About Our Client

Our client is an international FI firm and they are now opening an exciting role of Compliance join the compliance team to acquire banking licensing, handle HKMA/ SFC licensing advisory/ applications and other compliance matters. They provide an integrated suite of financial services to professional trading participants in the global financial market. Their core service offering consists of execution, clearing, financing, stock borrowing and lending, settlement and custody.

Job Description

  • Responsible for acquiring banking licensing, HKMA and SFC licensing advisory
  • Provide expert guidance and advice to senior management on compliance-related matters
  • Gather application documentation according to the competence requirements
  • Provide additional information to HKMA or SFC upon request
  • Notify relevant parties upon conditions of the licenses and once the license is granted
  • Assist Head of Compliance to work with HKMA and track progress of banking license
  • Provide updates regarding on licensing applications or status
  • Escalate cases to business and compliance if required

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree with major in Business Administration, Finance or relevant discipline
  • 10+ years of working experience in HKMA/ SFC licensing, banking licensing, regulatory compliance, general compliance within FI/ banking industry
  • Strong knowledge in HKMA and SFC regulations and knowledge in 72B is preferred
  • Strong track record in acquiring banking licensing
  • Strong interpersonal skills and strong organization skills
  • Excellent English spoken and written communication skills
