Job Description

  • Develop, construct, test, and maintain architectures (such as databases and large-scale processing systems) that support data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Implement and optimize ETL processes to move data from various sources into the data warehouse using tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and other relevant technologies.
  • Design and implement data models, schemas, and structures to support the organization's analytical and reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to data processes, data models, and ETL workflows.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering to continuously improve data processes and systems.
  • Utilize Power BI and other visualization tools to create interactive dashboards and reports for stakeholders across the organization.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience working as a Data Engineer for at least 3 years, with a focus on hands-on ETL development and data pipeline management.
  • Strong proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other related tools.
  • Experience with data modeling, database design, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python) for data manipulation and transformation.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI for creating interactive reports and dashboards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Azure certifications) would be a plus.
