About Our Client

Our client is a large conglomerate with business across APAC. They are currently looking for a Assistant Manager, Data Architecture to sit at Group level, serving subsidiaries on data engineering solutions. The person is expected to have strong communication and technical skills. Able to perform solution/ data architecture design, consulting, craft flow, lead data engineering team to develop data models and pipelines across multi-clouds.

Job Description

* Lead Data Engineering team across China on different cloud/data initiatives to support various use cases, including GenAI
* Provide consultation across multiple subsidiaries on Data Governance, Data Modelling, cloud data architectures on best industry best practices, including regional PII handling at BU's projects
* Evaluate the future technology stacks for subsidiaries and communicate with senior stakeholders on formulating a comprehensive adoption strategy, from data integration, data orchestration to use-case generation.
* Hands-on with multi-cloud services including AWS, Azure and GCP, Terraform, Data warehousing
* IaC terraform CICD setups and CICD governance & architecture design
* Prompt Engineering of Open-AI & Langchain agents PoC for marketing research and SQL query chatbot

The Successful Applicant

- Bachelor's in Computer Science or relevant disciplines
- 5 years hands on experiences in Data Platform Engineering/ Architecture
- Experience in analytical services in public cloud, such as Azure/ AWS/ GCP (multi-cloud experience is a plus)
- Experience in Databricks & Snowflake
- Experience in data modelling methodologies e.g. Kimball, Data Vault, etc.
- Well verse with Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Information Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, Master Data Management etc.
- Experience in managing large scale data, reporting and machine learning environments, Azure cloud highly desired
- Experience in large enterprise environment (retail/ hospitality/ property, at group level is a plus)
- Regional experience is a plus
- Excellent Communications skills in English; Chinese is preferred
