They have multiple business in the APAC region with mature wholesales business operating in Hong Kong. They are now seeking for a Senior Accountant to join their experienced team to cope with business expansion this year.Job DescriptionSupervise general accounting matters and general ledger process, performing appropriate review and ensure appropriate controls and compliance with HBI finance policies, HBI Internal Control Project Requirements, GAAP and local tax requirements.Investigate and reconcile payment issues and prepare debit / credit notesReconcile inventory reports and ensure proper inventory recognitionPrepare inter-company invoice and balance reconciliationsProvide practical analysis and timely reporting of financial information including reports to Corporate Treasury and Corporate Tax DepartmentImplement good cash management practices for receivables and payables and ensure proper control over cash disbursements.Prepare & review financial reports and supporting schedules at month-end. Ensure adherence to HBI finance policies and procedures, and local requirements. Perform analytical review for the variances Vs OPC and prior periodIdentify risks and resolve critical issues relating to the achievement of business plansStay informed on all local tax and other regulatory requirements; establish processes and controls to ensure compliance with regulations. Alert management to any proposed or pending regulatory changes that may affect the company, and project the impact of the changesPlan and work with external or internal auditors as required ensuring the consistency and compliance of the financial system and information. Provide and implement corrective and preventive action plansThe Successful ApplicantDegree holder in Accounting/Finance or equivalentAt least 3 years relevant experience in handling full set of accounts and accounts analysisSound working knowledge of US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, International Financial ReportingStandards, HK GAAP, HK Tax and Company Ordinances.
