Job Description

  • Purchase electrical and construction materials, ensuring compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost-effective purchasing solutions.
  • Follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that may arise during the procurement process.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier contracts, and inventory levels to support procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to understand material requirements and timelines.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the electrical or construction sectors.
  • Strong commercial sense with proven negotiation skills and the ability to secure favourable terms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
