About Our Client

We are currently seeking a Data Platform Engineer to join a prestigious luxury retailer that's evolving into a digital-first, data-led organisation. In this role, you'll be pivotal to shaping the data landscape and will work alongside a talented, collaborative team to build, optimise, and secure scalable data infrastructure.

Reporting to the Head of Data Platforms, you'll have the opportunity to contribute directly to data-driven decision-making, helping millions of customers and thousands of colleagues alike.

Job Description

  • Designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure data platform infrastructure using Azure Services
  • Monitoring performance across compute and storage solutions to maintain an optimised platform
  • Leading CI/CD deployments for data infrastructure, ensuring robust and seamless integrations
  • Addressing and resolving platform-related incidents with a proactive approach
  • Managing Azure costs and identifying optimisation opportunities to drive efficiency
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions seamlessly with other business applications



The Successful Applicant

  • Expertise in Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Compute, and Azure Databricks
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices, using tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
  • Solid knowledge of security best practices on Azure, including identity and access management, network security, and encryption
  • Ability to manage and optimise platform performance and costs effectively
