About Our Client

Our client is a global leader in the fashion industry known for its design and quality. They are now looking for a Fabric Merchandiser to join their team.

Job Description

  • Collaborating with designers to understand fabric requirements
  • Sourcing and selecting high-quality fabrics that align with brand standards
  • Negotiating with suppliers to secure competitive prices and favourable terms
  • Managing fabric development timelines and mill production capacity and ensuring timely delivery of materials
  • Conducting quality control checks on fabric samples and production batches
  • Communicating effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production processes

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Science, Merchandising, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Fabric Merchandiser in the fashion industry
  • In-depth knowledge of different types of fabrics, their properties, and applications
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality
