VP of Investment - Energy sector

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate investment opportunities in the public market, with a focus on Global Industrial, Cyclicals, Energy, and Commodities sectors
• Conduct independent, in-depth research using internal and external resources, including expert networks, data resources, and sell-side research
• Prepare comprehensive investment memos and presentation materials for internal portfolio discussions
• Establish and maintain connections with companies, brokers, and industry experts within your coverage areas

Requirements

• 8-15 years of experience in leading investment institutions, with at least 2 years covering Industrials, Cyclicals, Energy, and Commodities sectors in the public market
• Preferably, at least 2 years of buyside experience, with exposure to major commodities and global Industrial, Cyclicals, Energy, and Commodities sectors, including Japan, Europe, and the US
• Candidates with less than 2 years of experience may be considered if they demonstrate a strong track record and a solid understanding of cyclical sectors
• Strong understanding of capital markets and the ability to leverage buyside, industry, corporate, and sell-side resources
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with a high level of teamwork and integrity
• CFA or MBA preferred but not required
• Proficient in Excel modelling, with a preference for candidates who can adapt AI/GPT/Copilot to improve efficiency
