My client is one of the biggest Global Commercial Insurance Broker firms. They are aggressively expanding the business and keen to build a new business development team to enrich portfolio.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business opportunities by engaging potential clients through networking, cold calling, referrals, and other outreach methods.
  • Conduct research to develop a strong pipeline of prospects.
  • Approach challenges creatively with a focus on business development.
  • Coordinate effectively on tender proposals.
  • Collect underwriting information from corporate clients regarding their risk profiles and provide tailored solutions, including insurance advisory and consultancy services as needed.
  • Ensure timely and accurate insurance placements.
  • Regularly update the Head of Department on business progress.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with new corporate clients.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote product solutions, digital enhancements, operational efficiencies, and marketing initiatives.
  • Stay current with market trends, industry standards, and new products and services.



The Successful Applicant

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Experience: 5-10 years in broking or underwriting within the insurance sector, with preference for candidates with more senior experience.
  • Global Insurance Expertise: Familiarity with global insurance programs is a benefit.
  • Social Media Skills: Proficient in utilizing platforms like LinkedIn and Instagram to enhance company branding and to launch marketing campaigns or events.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentations.
  • Communication Abilities: Highly motivated and dynamic individual with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Team Collaboration: A good team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Proactive Mindset: Self-driven and proactive, capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
  • Educational Background: Holds a degree or diploma, or possesses relevant qualifications in risk management and insurance.
