Job Description

The Macro Research Analyst will be responsible for analyzing macroeconomic trends and data to provide actionable insights that inform investment decisions and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of economic indicators, financial markets, and global economic conditions.Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis: Gather, analyze, and interpret macroeconomic data, including GDP, inflation, employment figures, and trade balances.
  • Research Reports: Prepare detailed reports and presentations on macroeconomic trends and forecasts for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Market Insights: Monitor and assess market developments, geopolitical events, and policy changes that could impact the economy and financial markets.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other research analysts, portfolio managers, and clients to provide macroeconomic insights that inform investment strategies.
  • Modeling: Develop and maintain economic models to predict future economic conditions and assess potential risks and opportunities.
  • Thought Leadership: Contribute to the firm's thought leadership by publishing articles, whitepapers, and commentary on macroeconomic issues.

The Successful Applicant

Job Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree or CFA preferred.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in macroeconomic research, financial analysis, or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
    • Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, Python) and data visualization tools.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of global economic indicators and financial markets.
  • Language: Native in Mandarin and fluent in English
