Job Description

Job Responsibilities



  • Business Development:
    • Develop and manage relationships with external parties, particularly referrers who can introduce clients to our group.


  • Coordination of Overseas Insurance Operations:
    • Act as a liaison between policyholders and insurance brokers/companies to ensure Japanese nationals receive seamless overseas customer service.


  • Licensing and Insurance Application Process:
    • After obtaining the necessary Hong Kong insurance licenses, you will be seconded to an affiliated insurance broker. As a technical representative, you will handle various procedures during the insurance application process and follow up with clients post-onboarding.


  • Consultation Services:
    • Advise affiliated Hong Kong insurance brokers on trust schemes, considering policyholders' asset allocation, Japanese taxation matters, as well as life and financial planning.


  • Product Development and Partnerships:
    • Identify new insurance products and potential insurance companies for partnership opportunities.

The Successful Applicant

Qualification



  • Working Experience: Prior experience in the financial industry is essential.


  • Sales Experience: Candidates with a proven track record in sales and successful work history are preferred.


  • Business Travel: Willingness to travel to Japan for relationship building with referrers is required. Experience in such activities in Japan is highly valued.


  • Client Base Development: Ability to cultivate and develop your own client base upon joining our team is essential. You are not required to bring current clients with you.


  • Revenue Management: A strong consciousness towards revenue and cost is important. Experience in revenue management will be beneficial.


  • Language Skills:
    • Japanese: Native proficiency is a must.
    • English: Business-level proficiency is preferable for obtaining necessary IA licenses.


  • Client Sensitivity: Experience in working with Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWI) in Japan, with the ability to recognize and satisfy their demands and needs.
